Tangkoko Adventure tour to witness a variety of endemic species found exclusively in Sulawesi. The park is home to literally hundreds of Indonesian animal species. Sulawesi crested black macaques, unusual birds, lizards, snakes, cicadas, and tarsiers are also possible sightings. Cuscus bears and massive black tarantulas can also be found here.
This 8,700-hectare natural reserve is famed for the hundreds of unusual animal species that live there. A winding jungle route takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to drive from Manado to Batu Putih Village. Driving to Tangkoko, on the other hand, provides some wonderfully stunning vistas of jungles and volcanoes, making the 2-hour journey seem to fly by.
TANGKOKO BIRD WATCHING
Tangkoko Bird Watching is a fascinating experience for bird watchers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors can witness a variety of endemic, uncommon, and exotic bird species in the natural setting of the forest. Sulawesi maleo, Sulawesi hornbill, brown kingfisher, and other species are frequently seen in this area.
Birdwatchers frequently explore Tangkoko Batuangus National Park's many trekking paths in search of unique birds. They are led by knowledgeable local guides who can identify birds and provide information about their lives and the environments in which they dwell.
Aside from birds, we may also see and watch other animals that live in this national park, such as the Sulawesi tarsier (a small endemic monkey), Cuscus bears, black macaque, and many sorts of insects and reptiles.

ARRIVAL – TUNAN WATERFALL
Arrival at Manado in the morning. Meet our guide, then proceed to the picked up to go to Tunan Waterfall, this waterfall is in Talawan Village. The source of the Tunan Waterfall comes from the river above the mountain which flows quite rapidly through steep cliffs with a cliff height of approximately 86 meters. The atmosphere of the natural forest that is still pristine and natural adds to the beauty around the Tunan Waterfall Nature Tourism object. We drive right to Tangkoko National Park (If you arrive in the afternoon, skip the Tunan Waterfall trip and go straight to Batu Putih village in Tangkoko). At the end of the afternoon, a short hike in the forest in search of the big star of the park: the Tarsier Spectrum, the smallest mammal on the planet. Tangkoko Homestay is where you will spend the night. (Dinner at Homestay)
After finishing breakfast at the homestay, start to explore the endemic species of North Sulawesi at the Tangkoko Nature Reserve. Search for the Black Crested Macaque (Black Monkey indigenous to North Sulawesi), another Tarsier Spectrum (the world’s smallest primate), Cuscus bear, and lots of birds. The national park is home to the world's highest population of hornbills, including the rhinoceros hornbill. After lunch we'll go on another excursion into Tangkoko's jungle in the afternoon. After breakfast, check out and drive to the highlands, then proceed to the Waruga Sawangan, with a halt at the ancient Minahasa People's Tomb (Giant Stone Ages). Having lunch at Tondano Lake. Proceed to Tomohon to see the traditional market, after that Woloan Village knock-down wooden house industry (locals here create exquisite Minahasa-style wooden homes that are disassembled and shipped out of their village), and Kai’santi Tomohon which is a photo stop with a scenic backdrop of Mt. Lokon & green rice fields. We spend the afternoon at Linow Lake drinking coffee or tea. check in to your room in a resort in Tomohon. (Breakfast)
